Why do you primarily have Mac's?

I think it's because Apple, and moreso MacOS, has the most interesting history. Looking at only OS X, its lineage, development background and history, Legacy, ETC is just so interesting. Even how they made it Unix-Compliant is a fun story. (See here!). I do still like Windows, and I have interest in the Unix-like (Linux), but I always come back to the Mac. If only I knew better.

Why is the site named MadobeNanami?

I have much cooler domains, and they're muchh more searchable.. But I oddly like to use Madobe Nanami's name. She's the unnoficial, later official mascot of Windows 7! She's neat, and relevant to the topics of my site after all. I even have her CD!

Whats your current Setup/Gear?

I use a 2019 Mac Pro as my main desktop. Dual Vega's, 16-Core Xeon.. 384gb ECC DDR4.. Yknoww. Paired with, I run a used, slightly pink LG Ultrafine 5K, a restored Apple Pro Keyboard and 8-year old Corsair Mouse. For sound, I got Sennheiser HD650's ran off a small portable AT-PHA100. For my secondary & legacy desktop, I keep a Mac Pro 09, about as good as I can get it with upgrades like Blu-Ray/USB-C Cards. It has puny used "Whatever I have laying around" accessories secondary with it, being a Aluminum Wired Keyboard & cheap Logitech Mouse. For travel, I only use a mid-spec i7 2019 MacBook Pro 16", with a few external samsung SSD's. I also keep a iPod 3rd gen around for when I'm away from my main music library.

Why Touhou Project?

I guess this was technically already went over, but.. When I was younger, I became attached for how diverse of a franchise it really is. In characters, music, story, and all the fanwork that revolves around it. It's such a unique franchise in that regard, and it's nice to have a series that will always be creative in every way, even when my creativity and passion dies with age. It's just so easy to get attached to the setting and characters, you can meet a hundred fans all with a unique favorite character. There's nothing like it. nothing at all. I still remember my first TRUE full-on exposure, though I had some prior experience with characters and music and the such from it. It was this odd Nico Nico reuploaded Ting Tang Walla Walla Bing Bang (witch doctor) vid. I miss the web. I'm pretty sure it's still available somewhere. I'd blame that for me really delving deep into "Who was the girl with purple bows riding something?". I'm sure by then I had a more explicit understanding though.

All-Time Favorite Character?

Cirno. Mentioned before. Newgen Touhou Fans love to see Scarlet Police vids and Fumo edits, and immediately pick Cirno as their #1. We all start somewhere, and I simply never left. I love the stupid dumb fairy. Besides Cirno, other favs per series, I really like Rina Tennoji, Yuki Nagato, maybe Blanc? It's quite hard to pick for such small criteria. I also have attachment to The No-Good-Angel, from NanawoAkari's DadadadaTenshi! She became my unnoficial mascot and profile picture after a long while. Though It's weird to use the mascot of a J-Pop artist I don't listen to as much anymore as my mascot.

Oooo, gotta be my Suika. I know I own Dekas and Teras and.. whatever big rin is? But my heart is still with my Pink Company Suika, no matter how beat up she gets! And no matter how poorly made she is. Close second may be my new clownpiece (at time of writing) I probablyy own like.. 70 plushies total maybe. I used to break 100, but as times gone on I’ve slimmed down. Still my primary form of merch though.

Opinions on IBM?

The power architecture is still some of the coolest shit ever, even beyond just PowerPC. Their old corporate retreat was awesome. The IBM Thinkpad defined laptops forever. But.. they.. don’t do much anymore. They sponsor sports events I guesss…? It’s such a fall from grace. Suresure, they make server’s still! They do Mainframes! I don’t care anymore. IBM stopped being cool. Consumer Hardware is where your name gets out there, and unless I get a job workin for IBM… eh…

Would you rather be a Horse or a Fish?

I guess the thing with being a horse is, horses are cool. Family owns horses, used to ride em. And that’s not to say fish aren’t cool.. but what was the last fish you thought was COOL? Even counting girls from gacha games (like Umamusumwahtahath) and garbage. I could name many horse. I can only name.. maybe Wakasagihime for fish? I CAN”T EVEN REMEMBER HOW TO TYPE HER NAME HALF THE TIME. So sorry fish, I’m picking horse.

Could you have won Total Drama Island back in 2007?

Most my experience with Total Drama Island is through recreation games.. I did win one of those, so I’d say 50/50. The little I watched of the show doesn’t give me much hope though. But maybe. Just maybe..?
